I was wondering today, what's the biggest difference between two cars that were comparatively priced. I'm not talking about size or power, but instances where a car that was $30K was an absolute brutal waste of material, where another car from the same model year, priced within $5K or so, was a massive improvement over the competitor.
For instance, a 2014 Miata Sport could be had for cheaper than a 2014 Honda Accord EX near me.
Try comparing semi-alike vehicles, so no comparing a sports car and a minivan (for the example listed above, I narrowed it down to just coupes in the $20k-$30k range).

Acura RLX starts at $48k (it's FWD guys)
Cadillac CTS (starts at $45k)
There is no comparison.

the biggest difference is...._________
preference.
You can do your best to compare cars within a given class on technical merits. Trust me- I made charts when I bought a car recently. It comes down to preference.

The Corvette Stingray has more than 100hp over the Porsche Cayman but is similarly priced. The newest 911 costs $30k more than a Corvette and can't even keep up with the Chevy.

Not a huge price difference, but:
CRZ-EX:
$23k, FWD, hybrid that gets worse fuel economy and makes less power than a traditional gasoline engine, CVT transmission
Versus base model Ford Mustang:
305 horsepower, rear wheel drive, stick
